Description
  General Function:  Responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring Quality policies and procedures.  Supervises Quality personnel.  Initiaties, documents and monitors corrective actions to ensure products  satisfy customers' expectations.  Works with divisional personnel to ensure efficient and adequate quality systems are in place. Typical Duties:  The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.  Assists in development and maintenance of a written quality control program that meets Company standards and governing codes and regulations. Monitors and reports on Quality performance to management. Develops, implements, and monitors facility Quality policies and practices. Selects, supervises, instructs, assigns workloads and evaluates quality control personnel for facility. Works with internal and external auditors and implements corrective actions. May act as customer contact.  Works to resolve customer’s concerns. Participates in pre- and post- production meetings. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Considerable knowledge of manufacturing processes and practices as applicable to plant or division products.  Good knowledge of painting, lining and welding processes.  Good knowledge of measuring devices and tools and the ability to instruct on proper operation and technique. Requirements
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: Completion of two years of college level course work in production management, industrial technology or related areas.  Considerable experience in product inspection duties combined with some supervisory experience; or any combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
